Track Name: Summer Hurricanes
As I sit on the wall atlases flick like the pages are on fire
Legs and feet aspire to be everything they can
Jump off that wall, run and catch a train to Dover
Swim 'cross the channel if that's what it takes
If only I had knees that could stand the ocean drift
I wonder what I'd miss, but a plane can take me here
Juggling the thunder with broken strings a worry
And a bag full of leaking shampoo

If only you could known, even see the puddles that I left back in Bristol
You'd splash with your boots on to see if it would land
Drench you to the extent that you would understand my moment
Calling you from corners, but I guess that that's the point
You know it, you just don't feel it so welcome to my book
You're filling up the pages but there's nothing wrong with that
I'd write you on every page if it meant that we could fly
Back to the very start

I know that I've only move from singing A to B
I guess I could walk out but the rain is chasing sea
I wish I could sleep more but I fidget restlessly
I wish I was cool but hey that's just not me

So dress for summer balls, invite me if you like
I even promise I'll dress nice, a suit to match your dress
But before I wake up kiss me like you mean it
This is all I seem to do
Dream that I still love you
Track Name: AWOL
I was a missing man for years
Held down by a kidnap armed with spears
I winked at them they understood
I hold the answers by my side
It took me years to reconcile
I hardly went to sleep

I was a missing man for months
Drawn shapely and tanned by more than the sun
I winked at them they understood
I hold the answers in my mind
It took me years to read them blind
I hardly went to sleep

I was a missing man for weeks
Worn sideways with a drinking man's physique
I winked in code but they understood
I hold the answers in my songs
It took me years to sing along
I mince the answers in my words
It took me years to get this good
I hardly went to sleep

I am a missing man today
I am a missing man today
Track Name: Test Tube Heart
With a test tube heart it's often hard to speak
With a lab set your mother bought for you
You sit in rooms and quietly clink the glass
A scientist boy fixing it true to your heart

Like a matchstick in burns up to a point and then stops
The smoke fills the air
Then start over again, when it's new it is empty
The fire spits, love hits home like axe to tree

With my test tube heart it often starts to bleed
All the chemicals foaming like head on a beer
It comes as words flowing to ears with great force
Tubes on sleeves, a tattoo of my life on my arm

Like a matchstick in burns up to a point and then stops
The smoke fills the air
Then start over again, when it's new it is empty
The fire spits, love hits home like axe to tree
Track Name: The New Year's Eve Song
When the night came down it was a quarter to 4
In your eyes there were fireworks, a 'Wild World' and more
And I knew you were hoping
That I wasn't the man for you

When the lights blind us we build a fort for to hide
I love the way that you look when you frown
And I knew you were thinking
That this songbird was made for a lark

I know this hard for you to hear so I'll make us a brew.
I'm never the same in a song as I am when we're cold, lost reckless souls

So sit back down I'll be the one to drive home
And take off your shoes and forget I was here
But I know you can't do that
But I'll never be the man for you
Track Name: The Ballad of the Two Minute Song
One for the road we said, one more to go
The party's not over till one of us is old
One more for luck we said, just one beer
The party's still dancing but none of us are here

The past as we see it is a present to be wrapped
And opened in naivety as if it were the last

One for the road we said, one more to go
The lights are slowly dimming and there's a few of us around
Knock down the doors, friends, we leave by the moon
The party's not over but there's a quiet in the room

The past as we see it is a present to be wrapped
And opened in naivety as if it were the last

The past as we see it is a present to be wrapped
And opened in naivety as if it were the last
